A story
Once upon a time around 2000 years ago a man was born. He lived for us and died for us. he said he has come for the sinners not the righteous. That means He came for me and for you. He started teaching at the age of 30. (All His teachings are there in the chapters Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible) Within a couple of years he had 100s and 1000s of followers. What He taught was different, the way He taught was different. He was dynamic, energetic, authoritative but full of love. The authorities started getting insecure because people were calling him king of Jews. But Jesus said "My Kingdom is not of this world" Because of the many miracles he performed curing the sick, raising people to life, feeding thousands he was followed by crowds. But He ran away from it all. His kingdom was my heart which He won and each and every heart that believes in Him. He was made fun of, crucified. It was painful. He told His Father "Please take this cup of suffering away from him if possible or let your will be done" He was innocent. When he died His disciples were scared, but they stayed together because they deeply loved him. And then He came to them. Some met Him directly. But the most powerful sign was the infilling of the Holy Spirit. While the disciples were gathered in a room tongues of fire came down and rested on their heads and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Fear was replaced by confidence. They knew their God is alive.
Is it possible that a great sacrifice that happened 2000 years ago has the ability to suck like a sponge all sin from me and make me white as snow? This was all a mystery to me but I know it's true. " For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.". And Jesus made it possible that we become children of God, like He is son of God. My Jesus, my Savior I adore You.
